 - I once heard that we work not for money/salary

- we work to accumulate our experience or sharpen our skills in one career/field

- once we become experts in the field, it is time to pick a company and job and salary

- So, we don't mind overtime and you don't mind salary, you don't mind working hard because these things are sharpening you to be a successful person in the future

- most people work for money/salary, and what about you?

- this perspective leads to another thing that most company/boss don't like

- where is the loyalty?

- btw, don't kidding. will the company be loyal to its hard-working staff?

- 一個國家的運作要錢，錢主要從税收而來。當然有些國家會炒股票，收罰款(無論合理與否)，做生意等等增加收入

- 稅收基本上是由 1. 個人税收 & 2. 公司税收

- 個人的稅收可以是薪俸稅, 銷售稅等

- 公司的稅收可以是利得稅, 關稅等

- 公司的税收是有趣的事情，公司會負責税務嗎？

- 公司會交税但負責的卻不是公司而是客戶個人，因為所有要交的稅都會計算在物價內。

- 所以, 可以說交稅的從來都是個人

- 當一個國家的個人入息税(直接稅)率低是可能嗎？

- 根據以上的理解, 除非國家很懂得搵錢, 否則, 個人直接稅低就表個人間接稅會很高

in the old days, money could be exchanged for gold. People trust gold so they trust money as well, and gold is the basic unit of money. 

Nowadays, money no longer be exchanged for gold. We still use money because we trust in the nations that issue money, e.g. the USA, and Japan. So, the basic unit of money is TRUST nowadays.

But, what about if we don't trust the nations any more?

someone know that they can't find out the beginning of the universe so they give up and only focus on present things. 

someone know they never find out the beginning of the universe but they still insist looking into it.

2024 Olympics, it gives me an impression that those become popular is not the gold medals winner but the cool guys. 

We know that more people like to chase the cool guys in FB instead of the most successful one nowadays.

 人大了, 話越少. 因為大了懂得說話要顧及別人感受. 

你贊一下自己又怕傷害到別人弱小心靈. 你嘲笑一下自己又怕別人話你扮晒嘢. 

所以, 最後都是不說話, 但別人多說, 你又話佢 show quali, 廢 up.

 self 自我

- a baby doesn't have self and building it day by day.

- some people say the self is the culminating of our memory and experience

- when we have enough memory and experience we know who we are. 

- on the other hand, we are the product of what we experienced

during our childhood

- and also we may create our future self by what we do in the present

- In conclusion, the self is changing.

- the last question is who are we before the appearance of the self?

- on the other hand, 無我 equal to think and act like a baby?

- 無我 is the one that hasn't been corrupted by the 後天 environment. 

- 無我, is it a basic animal form?

 - 今日見到掃地姐姐, 佢望住部手機, 我問佢睇緊乜? 佢話開屋企部自動掃地機掃地. 我同佢講, 唔好同佢老世講, 唔知佢明唔明.

- yes, automation is all over the city. and I see many frontline staff promoting automation to their customers. But one thing I am not sure is whether they know that when automation is fully executed, they will lose their jobs.

- this is a story of mine. one day when I went to the City to pay land tax, the cashier told me why I could pay it through a computer myself. And then I told her, I knew it, but if I paid it through a computer she would lose her job, I just don't know why she recommended it to me.

20240731 We need a Goal

 - human need a goal to work together even just for a reward

- most big corporations have a mission, vision, value, etc. If they don't have one, just yell "You got paid if you work hard" 😄

- for a place, if the common goal (X) disappears, the people will move away to another place holding (X).

- or, if goal (X) is replaced by (Y), then people believe in (Y) will come

Free Will x2

 - free will. i think it has certain levels.

- in the most strict sense, there is no free will

- for a slave, there is no free will and they cannot make their own decisions. all decisions are made by their owners.

- for a ordinary people like me, i can make my own decision even it is affected by some factors. but it still my decision that suit me the best.

- for daily living, we don't need the strict sense of free will.

Choice and Free Will

 - making a choice yourself doesn't mean that you have free will.

- somebody says I do this but not that, so I have free will.

- do you know what made you make that decision? If you know you are influenced by something in making the decision even if it is your internal factors, you don't have free will (absolute).

- today I am not happy so I bought myself ice cream to smooth myself, do you think you have free will? so your action is influenced by something?

- and, btw, without free will is a matter in our daily life? 

- in most cases, I can make a decision freely is far more important than having free will.

 thing-in-itself, 物自身

if we know things through our sensory systems and interpret the signal by our brain, then we cannot know the thing-in-itself, because the thing has been interpreted by another system.

some physicists say that we cannot understand a thing, once we measure it, it is not itself. 

Plato has a similar proposition that we cannot only see the shadow of things but not the thing itself.

20240730 We see the same world or not?

 - the world I see is not the same as the world you see.

- we see the same physical world but the perception, emotion, feeling, interpretation, etc are not the same.

- no one is in the same world.

- we can confine the world as the physical world only, but it limits "me" as a whole body, 

- as a result, you don't know "me". huh? we've heard of it in many movies, haven't we?

- even if we do, the sensory is not the same for everyone. what is red? how red? it is totally different with everyone. no one sees the same red.

 - think about a movie. if it is a 60 mins movie. 

- when we are watching the 30th min, we are in the middle of the movie

- before the 30th min, it is the past, after it is the future.

- but

- a 60 mins movie is filmed and all the content is already in the film.

- the beginning and the end of the movie already filmed

- when we watching the 30th min, the end also been filmed which mean that we already know the ending

- if some people watching the ending at the same time we are watching the middle. so, he knows the ending ahead

後來，好似用石英Quartz 來計算時間。

But, all of them are the unit of time or the measure of time, but they are not time itself. so, what is time?

before now is past?

after now is future?

then, what is now? 

now is not a static point, it moves. 

when you look at (1), this now, but when you look at (2), this is also now and (1) becomes past. so, what is now? (1) or (2)?
