 - 今日見到掃地姐姐, 佢望住部手機, 我問佢睇緊乜? 佢話開屋企部自動掃地機掃地. 我同佢講, 唔好同佢老世講, 唔知佢明唔明.

- yes, automation is all over the city. and I see many frontline staff promoting automation to their customers. But one thing I am not sure is whether they know that when automation is fully executed, they will lose their jobs.

- this is a story of mine. one day when I went to the City to pay land tax, the cashier told me why I could pay it through a computer myself. And then I told her, I knew it, but if I paid it through a computer she would lose her job, I just don't know why she recommended it to me.

20240731 We need a Goal

 - human need a goal to work together even just for a reward

- most big corporations have a mission, vision, value, etc. If they don't have one, just yell "You got paid if you work hard" 😄

- for a place, if the common goal (X) disappears, the people will move away to another place holding (X).

- or, if goal (X) is replaced by (Y), then people believe in (Y) will come

Free Will x2

 - free will. i think it has certain levels.

- in the most strict sense, there is no free will

- for a slave, there is no free will and they cannot make their own decisions. all decisions are made by their owners.

- for a ordinary people like me, i can make my own decision even it is affected by some factors. but it still my decision that suit me the best.

- for daily living, we don't need the strict sense of free will.

Choice and Free Will

 - making a choice yourself doesn't mean that you have free will.

- somebody says I do this but not that, so I have free will.

- do you know what made you make that decision? If you know you are influenced by something in making the decision even if it is your internal factors, you don't have free will (absolute).

- today I am not happy so I bought myself ice cream to smooth myself, do you think you have free will? so your action is influenced by something?

- and, btw, without free will is a matter in our daily life? 

- in most cases, I can make a decision freely is far more important than having free will.

if we know things through our sensory systems and interpret the signal by our brain, then we cannot know the thing-in-itself, because the thing has been interpreted by another system.

some physicists say that we cannot understand a thing, once we measure it, it is not itself. 

Plato has a similar proposition that we cannot only see the shadow of things but not the thing itself.

20240730 We see the same world or not?

 - the world I see is not the same as the world you see.

- we see the same physical world but the perception, emotion, feeling, interpretation, etc are not the same.

- no one is in the same world.

- we can confine the world as the physical world only, but it limits "me" as a whole body, 

- as a result, you don't know "me". huh? we've heard of it in many movies, haven't we?

- even if we do, the sensory is not the same for everyone. what is red? how red? it is totally different with everyone. no one sees the same red.

 - think about a movie. if it is a 60 mins movie. 

- when we are watching the 30th min, we are in the middle of the movie

- before the 30th min, it is the past, after it is the future.

- but

- a 60 mins movie is filmed and all the content is already in the film.

- the beginning and the end of the movie already filmed

- when we watching the 30th min, the end also been filmed which mean that we already know the ending

- if some people watching the ending at the same time we are watching the middle. so, he knows the ending ahead

But, all of them are the unit of time or the measure of time, but they are not time itself. so, what is time?

before now is past?

after now is future?

then, what is now? 

now is not a static point, it moves. 

when you look at (1), this now, but when you look at (2), this is also now and (1) becomes past. so, what is now? (1) or (2)?

基本生存消費

每一個人生存都有"基本生存消費", 這個消費亦是對環保做成的傷害程度. 

就如原始人, 他們的"基本生存消費"很低但不等如零, 起碼, 他們會生火煮食 (產生CO2), 又會放屁 (產生溫室氣體) 等等.

以現代人而言, 這個"基本生存消費"已經不再基本了. 現代人所用的一切, 所做的一切都大大增加了這個"生存消費", 變相是增加了環保傷害指數. 

要 offset 這個"生存消費"

在講 offset 之前, 首先先講'環境保護'並不是真的保護環境. 這是一個人類自欺而產生的詞語. Mother Nature 要你保護嗎? Mother Nature 喜歡 O2 而不喜歡 CO2 嗎? Mother Nature 喜歡風和日麗而不喜歡狂風暴雨嗎? Mother Nature 不喜歡冰河時期? Mother Nature 喜歡有人類或生物存在嗎?

無論地球變成怎樣, 都是 Mother Nature 的一部分. 所以'環境保護'所保護的是'人類' only, 連其他生物都不在保護之列. 當然有部分環保份子說保護其他生物, 但可惜他們不是全保. 對人類致命的病毒, 細菌, 植物, 動物, 人類會保護他們嗎? 

先講"基本生存消費". 人類生產出來的'環保傷害物質', 大部分是大自然是有本事自行處理掉的. 例如 CO2, 樹木會吸收 CO2轉化成對樹木有用能量, 而排出 O2. 基本上是 offset 了人類的'環保傷害物質'.

但如果'生存消費'大高, '環保傷害物質'太多, 那麼大自然是沒法 offset 了這些'環保傷害物質'. 但背後隱藏了一個事實, 就是 balance point, 即大自然能完全處理人類生產的'環保傷害物質'.

Jet lag (my personal experience)

關於 jetlag 問題，我的感覺

Everyone has a 生理時鐘. When to wake, when to sleep, when to eat. It can be changed.

When you visit another country, lets say 12 hours behind or ahead. Owing to the new time, you have a new "clock" for daily living.

So, in this situation, you have 2 生理時鐘, an old one and a new one.

You need to shifting from the old one to the new one. Both click in but the old is fading out. And what you need to do is helping ourselves to fade out the old one and adopt the new one.

close encounter of the third kind

人類在好多年前已經向外太空發射通訊電波希望尋找外太空生物(高智慧)及接觸. 對於這個做法有兩派不同立場.

我只是想說, 每一個星球都是一個有限的資料. 高智慧生物都必須打破這一個限制去發展, 如人類, 幾千年來都是為了資源而打個你死我活. 可以係人類之間, 亦可以是人與其他動物, 甚至乎人與大自然. 近來是甚麼? 就是移民火星, 收集外太空資源, 甚至乎尋找可以讓人類居住的其他星體. 

這是一個自然的演變, 因為地球是一個有限體, 擴張是無可被免的, 在擴張的同時對其他生命的傷害亦是結果的一部分.

在這個前題底下, 人類是否應該讓其他太空中的高智慧生物知道我們的存在? 更甚是主動地? 

story

Everyone, every organization, every country need a story for its continuency.

Some people are story makers, some are story tellers but most of them are audience. 

Some people revise the story, some people create another one, some people attack the story, some people question the story.

The reason why we use "story" for our continuency because we never know what will happen in our future.

We are not using "prediction" because we want to make some meaning on what we do today, and all stories are our future dream.

歌曲是一種非常神奇的東西。 無論你是在什麼狀態，什麽情緒， 例如好疲累，好煩躁，好無助等等等等。

只要有一首貼心的歌曲就會很快將心情完全地改變過來。 本來放不下的事情很快就放下了，本來煩惱的事情很快亦放下了。

future me

future me 係 motivation 上扮演一個非常重要的角式。

我們有動力去作出改變是因爲希望在未來達到自己的理想。

所以，是有未來才先有今天的改變的動力。

我們的未來就是 future me，就是目標。

有 future me就知道要改幾多。

有 future me就可以制訂計劃的步驟。

有 future me 就可以衡量計劃是否可行。

簡單而言，有 future me就可以產生動力 motivation.

如果一個人明知無明天，今天的他又怎會為明天而作出努力？

看看鏡子，問自己10年後你想自己是一個怎樣的人，過怎樣的生活？
